Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Meeting at airport upon arrival by Plan Holidays Personnel. We will pick up from airport and then escort you to your hotel in kathmandu. During the driving of half an hour, enjoy the heart-stopping views along the kathmandu city. After arrival at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the local area, overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
Today your Sightseeing tours to Kathmandu Durbar square, swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath & Bodhanath Stupa: Kathmandu Durbar Square is a complex of palace, courtyards and temples built between 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of mediaeval Malla Kings of Kathmandu. This is an UNESCO protected world heritage site. Swayambhunath Stupa watches over the valley from a height of 75 m from the average level of Kathmandu. This is one of the holiest Buddhist shrines in Nepal and its establishment is linked with to the creation of Kathmandu valley out of a primordial lake. This stupa, which is believed to be more than 2000 years old is also UNESCO enlisted World Heritage site. Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu Shrines in the world. Chronicles indicates the existence of the shrine prior to 400 AD. The shrine lies on the bank of sacred Bagmati River. The Bagmati River banks also serve as cremation sites to Hindus. Bagmati River in Nepal is considered as holy as Ganges in India. Bodhanath Stupa is the biggest Stupa of this kind in the world. This is also UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site. Bodhanath Stupa and its surrounding have kept the Tibetan culture alive. There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries dedicated to different sects of Tibetan Buddhism, in the vicinity of Bodhanth Stupa.
Day 03: Dhulikhel – Namo Buddha (1982.) – Balthali
It takes about four hours to reach Dhulikhel. Today you visit the Namo Buddha after we walk to the Namo Buddha (1982m), situated on hill above Panauti. There is an amazing legend related to the Buddha, which is commemorated by an ancient stone slab and a stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. After visit Namo Buddha, we walk another three hours and reach the enchanting Balthali village offering excellent mountain views at an altitude of 1,730m. Welcome drinks will be served with a light snacks. In the evening camp firing with snacks and local wine made by the villagers. Balthali village is a very simple, yet comfortable, unconventional retreat centre with modern amenities of western style toilets and attached bath rooms, hot and cold shower flows freely and tasty Nepalese traditional. Day 04: Balthali Village (1,730m.)
Today you will visit a typical Tamang village, Dada Gaun, where a Buddhist Community lives. Then we walk to Pada Gaun (2100m), from where one can have extremely good views of the whole Himalayan range to north and beautiful green forest of Mahabharat. Here people and animals live together side by side. It is very traditional and secluded from the modern world. The walk on to Karnali, a hamlet of nature, and follow the banks of the Ladku River.
Day 05: Balthali Panauti (1400m) – Kathmandu.
We continue our journey to the typical Newari village of Panauti. This is a traditional Newar settlement having rural characters and rich in culture with a large number of fascinating temples. Panauti is wedged between the Punyamata and Roshi streams. Panauti forms the shape of a triangle with a serpent (naga) idol standing at each of its three corners to protect from floods Explore the Panauti valley which is also historically important. Having taken about six hours on foot journey, we drive to Kathmandu. On the way you can have an opportunity to visit an interesting wooden temple which belongs to the fourteenth century. Overnight at Kathmandu.
