Buddha’s Footstep Nepal  Tour takes you into a journey through time as you retrace the footsteps of Lord Buddha. A meditation on the road, this tour traverses through significant pilgrimage sites marking of Buddhas life- Lumbini (birth place of Buddha), Siddhartha Gautam was born the son of a king and grew up in Kapilvastuin luxury and splendor. At the age of 29 he begins his quest for the true meaning of life. It was a journey that took him to the land of Magadha. At Bodhgaya, after years of penance and deprivation, he attained enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi tree-andbecome the Buddha.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Meeting at airport upon arrival by Plan Holidays Personnel. We will pick up from airport and then escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu. During the driving of half an hour, enjoy the heart-stopping views along the Kathmandu city. After arrival at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the local area, overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu In the morning, after breakfast, Your sightseeing will be visited places according to your interest. Visit Swyambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath & Boudhanath. Overnight at Hotel. Swyambhunath Stupa: From here you can watches over the valley from a height of 75 m from the average level of Kathmandu. It is one of the world most glorious Buddhist Stupa, it is said to be 2000 years old. Visitors often call it Monkey Temple. Pashupatinath Temple, with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition, also being the temple of Lord Shiva possessed its two-storied golden roof and silver doors and is famous for its superb architecture, on the banks of sacred Bagmati River. Hindu pilgrims can enter the premises of the temple which Pashupatinath Temple stands. Chronicles indicate the existence of the shrine prior to 400 AD. The Bagamti River banks also serve as cremation sites to Hindus. You can also have the picture of them. Boudhanath Stupa: It is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. Day 03: Kathmandu After having breakfast,we drive to main town Bhaktapur, the city of devotees,Ancient Dattatraya temple, five storied Nyatapola temple, Pottery Square and of course, historical Durbar squareare the eye-catching highlights of the town. After then we drive to Patan Durbar square, it is the oldest city among 3 cities of Kathmandu valley. It is also called as Lalitpur, the city of beauty. This city supposed to be founded in 3rd century BC as Emperor Ashoka visited this city to promote Buddhism in the Kathmandu valley. Emperor Ashoka visit was marked in the city by erecting Ashok Stupas in the four cardinal direction of the city. The square is full of ancient places, temples, and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings There are three main courtyards or chowks, so named central MulChowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk in the square. The Sundari Chowk holds in its center a masterpiece of stone architecture, the Royal bath called Tushahity. You will visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the important historic and tourist destinations in Nepal. It is a complex of palace, courtyards and temples built between 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of mediaeval Malla Kings of Kathmandu. It also knows as Hanuman Dhoka Square. Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex consists of a huge Royal Square exposing a tremendous variety of temples dedicated to different Hindu gods and goddess. This is an UNESCO protected world heritage site. The Durbar Square is surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Kathmandu-Lumbini Early in the morning, we travel overland from Kathmandu to the Lumbini, one of the places with breathtaking views and scenic beauty. It is Considered as the place of holy pilgrimage and listed in World Heritage Sites recognized by UNESCO. After refreshing,we go walking through the Sacred Lumbini Garden, the place to visit as it is considered the holy place and the birth place of the Lord Buddha. There remains the Ashoka pillar on the charts too. Visiting the Maya Devi Temple with its beys-relief sculpture depicting Maya Devi also marks this on our Nepal tour journey. Overnight at Hotel. Day 05: Lumbini After breakfast, we start for the trip, 27km west of Lumbini. Visiting the important archaeological site, Tilaurkot also remains on our traveling charts. As we know that the ancient palace of King Suddodha (Siddhartha Gautam’s father), is a place to visit, we also take you to other sites as well. This is the place you will love to see as it is here the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Lumbini Today, Enjoy yourself for a moment to wonder around and immerse in the glory of wonderful places. There is also a museum near by for you to enjoy and also visit Japanese temple. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07: Lumbini-Pokhara After arriving pokhara, we make a sightseeing trip around Pokhara valley like as Devit Fall, Begnas Lake, Tal Barahi Temple and boating on Phewa Lake. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Pokhara-Hemja Early in the morning, you can be transfered to hemja which can take 20 minutes of drive from Pokhara. It is located about 12 kilometres from Pokhara which is situated near the Seti Gandaki River (Seti Khola), a holy river flowing from the Annapurna massif. Here you can visit the Tibetan Refugee camp and depressed bard communities. In additional in the countrywide, the atmosphere of woods with lots of Flower and Rhododendron during the spring enhances the beauty. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 09: Hemja-Pokhara After arriving Pokhara, you can visit World Peace Stupa to top of the hill. This is quiet place for meditation, scenery of the Phew lake, Pokhara valley with lovely mountain views can be observed for there. After the lovely mountain view descend 30 min. down hill to shore of the Phewa Lake. As well as you can visit the Gupteshwor mahadev. If You are interested you can do extra adventure activities like paragliding, Zip flyer and many others. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara-Kathmandu Drive to Kathmandu on the way you can visit the goddess manakamana as known as goddess of wishes and transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy the farewell dinner and share the experience. Overnight at Hotel. Optional activities: You can raft for a day in Trishuli river.

Day 11: Departure You will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey or to your next favored destination.
