Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world at 8586m/28,169ft and is on the border between Nepal and Sikkim (India). The name Kanchenjunga means five treasures of the great snow which is in reference to the five summits that make up Kanchenjunga. The peaks are visible in the distance for days, floating like ships on a distant sea.
