Nepal Everest Base Camp trekking is the most iconic base camp of all, at the foot of the highest mountain on Earth, Mount Everest (8848m), which is one of the worlds classic popular treks. Take on the adventure of a lifetime trekking in Nepal to reach Everest Base Camp.

Each year there are more than 34000 to 39,000 trekkers in a season in this area. Mount Everest, known as Sagarmatha in Nepali, Qomolagma in Tibetan, & Mt.Everest in English,is the tallest peak on earth with 8848m (29,035ft) altitude. Everest base Camp trekking from Nepal side ( also known as south base camp) is a trek of 15 nights 16 days from Kathmandu to Kathmandu, takes you at an Altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 ft) at the base camp.

Then you will further climb to Kalapattar at an altitude of 5545m. While walking through Sherpa country past cultivated fields and small villages, we have time to acclimatize before reaching spectacular high altitude scenery: the incredible monastery at Thyangboche, views of Ama Dablam, Everest and other mighty Himalayan peaks. This trek offers amazing views of Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,511m), Nuptse (7,879m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,623m) & many more. You will take 45 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, then you will walk upward to Namchebazaar, the famous center for trading food, trekking equipments etc.

Normally you will have to acclimatize 2 days here, and then slowly you will gain the altitude & walk towards Tengboche & to Everest base camp & Kalapattar (5545m). Visit a school established by Sir Edmund Hillary in the mountain village of Khumjung. Stay in villages set against soaring, jagged pinnacles; get to know the unique culture of the Sherpas and walk trails lined with mani stones, engraved with Tibetan Buddhist prayers. Discover remote mountain monasteries and learn about the Sherpas spiritual perspective on the mountains they call home.
