Stok Kangri is one of the most beautiful peaks in Ladakh. On favorable conditions,you can make the summit and return in one day from the base camp and have the pride of conquering a peak more than 6000m. The summit presents one of the most spectacular views of the Saser peak in the Karakoram Range, where the K2 lies. From the top you can see one of the best in the Himalaya offering great views of the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges including the second highest peak in the world.
The vast terrain with patches of scant vegetation along the river banks surrounded by barren and desolate highlands makes the journey more beautiful for the questers. It offers beautiful landscape and there are good chances to spot some high altitude wildlife. Being near from Leh, this peak has been very popular among those trekkers who want to try something real high. One of the most popular and challenging trekking peaks in the Indian Himalayas and its proximity to Leh makes it very accessible. The pass offers great views of Stok Khangri and the route to the summit from the base camp. Spend the entire day getting acclimatized to the high altitude. This is very important, to ensure that you can handle the thin air on high altitudes. From base camp we descend all the way to Stok village. This is a great walk passing by numerous ruins of old forts and castles. View Tibet in the distance, an outstanding vista of snow-capped peaks. The trek allow a serious pursuit of Ladakh and the views compensate for all the hardships that one has to bear while camping on this high altitude cold desert. In the morning to avail of the best weather conditions and a possible sunrise at the summit. You climb onto a ridge which leads to a large glacier. It is the life long memory for the travelers.

Day 01: Leh-Stok Village
Transfer to the delhi airport for our flight to Leh.We spend the day in Leh for further acclimatisation. We go on a short day hike to practice exercising at this elevation. Trek over the Stok La Pass and camp at Mankorma. The pass offers great views of Stok Kangri and the route to the summit from the base camp.
Day 02: Trek to Lamlung Camp
We make an early start and reach base camp with still most of the day to rest. We have lunch and then take a short climb from base camp to better acclimatise. We climb a further 100 m and then come back down again to get an early night in preparation for tomorrow’s summit attempt.
Day 03: Trek to Stok BC.
We start climbing in the early hours of the morning to avail of the best weather conditions and a possible sunrise at the summit. First we climb onto a ridge which leads to a large glacier.
Day 04: Rest at BC for acclimatization
We Take rest here for acclimatization.From base camp we descend all the way to Stok village. This is a great walk passing by numerous ruins of old forts and castles.
Day 05: Attempt summit of the Stok Khangri peak.
After crossing the glacier we ascend steeply to the summit. This last leg is the most difficult and takes a lot of physical and mental strength. The panoramic view from the summit is second to none. To the north-west the Karakoram Range, including K2 (8611 m), seems endless. One can also see the Zanskar Range and view Tibet in the distance, an outstanding vista of snow-capped peaks. Overenight at hotel.
Day 06: Trek to Rumbuk
After taking early breakfast start trek to Rumbuk.Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Trek to Spituk
Today we start trek to Spituk.Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Back to Leh.
We drive two hours back to Leh enjoy a meal and some well earned drinks at the hotel.
