Our trip start from Delhi Shimla(the summer capital of British India), Manali (many mountain villages and apple orchards), Jispa (Buddhist culture), Sarchu (pass through mighty canyons), Leh (the capital of Ladakh, the second highest motorable pass in the world, Buddhist Gompas from Medieval period like Tsemo Gompa, Sankar Gompa and Leh Palace etc.),Markha Valley trek and end our trip in Delhi. Markha Valley trek lies in Ladakh The land of passes.
It is one of the most popular treks in entire Ladakh region, it is one of the amazing trips to get introduced to magical and remote Buddhist kingdom of Ladakh. The Markha Valley trekking is a memorable journey towards the Little Tibet to glorify the place with major attractions of peaceful Buddhist monasteries, mountain villages, high altitude pastures of Nimaling and high altitude peak- Kangyatse. After a visit to Stok Palace, where you can admire the old Thankas, jewelry, and religious objects, we start hiking with our guide and other crews. In the first part, we will follow the trail of Stok-la trek. We will have views of the dry and arid beautiful landscape.
You will witness the sloping landscapes, rolling creeks, and dry valleys, but always the view to the purple, gold and carmine mountains. you take in fabulous views of the Great Himalayan, Ladakh and Zanskar. After we pass the Ganda-La (4900m), we arrive at the beautiful Markha village that merges with its natural surroundings. The opportunity to meet nomadic families as they herd their yaks and a visit to a small monastery where butter lamps are lit morning and evening by an elderly nun leave indelible impressions of our journey through this gloriously illuminated landscape.
You will certainly gain respect for the Ladakhis, living their sober lifestyle in pure harmony with nature. After the gorges, we pass a little lake and enter the most beautiful valley of Ladakh (4700m) with the Kang Yazee dominant in the background 6400m.
