Himalayan Region-15 % Total land covered having 90 peaks more than7000m & 8 peaks more than 8000m including Mount Everest 8,848mHilly Region – 68 % of Total Land covered the hills and mountains in the central part of Nepal. The altitude varies from 610 to 4,877 meters in this region. Terai Region- 17 % of Total Land covered the flat land of the country it is the main source of food grain to the people of Nepal. There are three major River systems, Gandaki, Koshi&Karnali River in Nepal.
