Bhaktapur Tour
Bhaktapur Tour package offers different historical places. Bhaktapur is situated 14 km from Kathmandu is one of the 3 medieval principalities of the valley. It is the third largest city in Nepal, and along with Kathmandu and Patan, makes up the three holy cities in the Kathmandu Valley. It is absolutely stunning with its temples and ingenious architecture of the Newari community. Bhaktapur literally means the Bhadgaon City of Devotees, the City of Culture, the Living Heritage, and Nepal Cultural Gem.
Bhaktapur is famous for woodcarving and the Bhadgaolen topi or cap (old name of Bhaktapur was Bhadgaon). It is one of the 3 royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley. The highlights of Bhaktapur are Durbar Square with the palace of 55 windows, Golden Gate, Vatsala Durga temple, the Taumadhi Square with a towering five roofed Nyatapola Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, The National Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Dattatreya Temple, Pottery Square and adjacent Bhairab Temple. It is the best preserved medieval village of Nepal. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal.
The golden effigies of kings perched on the top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in every place-struts, lintels, uprights, tympanums, gateways and windows-all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony. Exquisite temples and other religious shrines dot its streets. It is known for its artistic masks and earthen pots, often seen spread out on the streets to dry in the sun.The city tends to keep the crowds away from this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city has a rich handicrafts tradition and is a great place to purchase pottery, which you’ll see in various stages of completion throughout the town, but particularly in Potters Square. In every corner of the square, you will see the narrow paved streets harbor hidden shrines and statues. It gives you a fantastic atmosphere to relax the entire day in major cultural heritages and temples. In this half-day tour of Bhaktapur, you will be fascinated by its historical architecture.
Itinerary
Bhaktapur Tour
After the Breakfast, you will drive to the Bhaktapur. The smallest one but the best preserved, the city gives the impression of a museum in itself. The medieval wooden, metal and stone architecture of the houses, palaces, and temples still exist in their original form. Dattatreya Square with Dattatreya Temple and Pujari Pujarimath complex with famous peacock window shouldn’t be missed. Visiting Potters Square is also worth visiting where you can see the potters molding wet clay into different earthenware pots. Reviews
Simply put “WOW”.
Simply put “WOW”. I have never met more responsible people in my life. They made sure every step of the way was taken care of from the drivers, tour guides, trek guides, porters and hotel accommodations. I highly recommend this company for its hard working, responsible and friendly people. The people make a company. Special thanks to: Anuja “the planner”, Chitiz & Ashmir “the ultimate trekking guides” and finally Robin “the enthusiastic jungle bird watcher”.

San Diego, CaliforniaPlan Holidays did a fantastic job on our whole trip!
Plan Holidays did a fantastic job on our whole trip! We did the trip that included time in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan National Park and a 5-day trek around Annapurna. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we had guides showing us around and everything was perfectly planned for us. Maila, our trekking guide was amazing and had so much knowledge! It was a great trip!

Boston, MassachusettsIncredibly well organized
This company was amazing. Incredibly well organized. I felt safe and spoiled. Our airport transports were always early and waiting for us. All of our reservations for our accommodations and busses were perfect. The temple tour we took was super fun and educational. Some of our luggage got stuck in our layover country and between this travel agency and our hotel they were able to get it for us and deliver it the next day. We also had a 10month old traveling with us and they made sure that our accommodation and travel plans were safe for him. During our 5 days of trekking, we had THE BEST guide/sherpa. I would positively let them plan another trip for us. Thank you!!!!

I had a wonderful experience
I recently booked a tour with Plan Holidays, and I had a wonderful experience. Anuja scheduled the tour, and it was comforting to have our trip covered without any concerns. Our guide Shiva took us through Kathmandu, and showed all us the highlights of the city and provided us with the cultural and historical background. We also did the Poon Hill Trek with guides Chitiz and Ashmir, who provided a peaceful hike through the Himalayas. On our last two days, we spent time in Chitwan National Park, where our guide, Robin, took us on adventures where we saw crocodiles and rhinos.
The entire package was affordable, and our guides met our every need; they went out of their way for us on many occasions. It was comforting to get off the bus and see our guides waiting for us with our name tags. I would highly encourage anyone to book a trip through this company. I promise that you will have an amazing experience–five stars!
