Namobuddha, Panauti Village Excursions tour Cover Dhulikhel, Namobuddha and panauti. Dhulikhel at 1550m, is a popular, interesting small town to view the Himalayan and a pleasant fairly easy all-day walk goes to Namobuddha (Namro or Namura), about a 3 hr walk south of Dhulikhel, where there is a Buddhist stupa. You will follow Kodari Araniko highway until Dhulikhel, then drive mountainous road to Namo Buddha. Namo Buddha is a spiritually filled center for Buddhists where you can rest your soul for sometimes away from the noisy crowd to seek for a minute silence. This can make your body & mind feel like contended. There are monasteries & hostels for monks & nuns. If you like to spend more days you are welcome to do so. NamoBuddha offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, valleys, & terraced fields. It is the place where Supreme Being, Buddha meditated. It is said that Buddha offered his blood without a second hesitation to a starving tigress when he found that tigress was almost dying.

Namo Buddha is also famous for growing rice, mustard and millet so you can see beautiful hillside terraced farms throughout the walk. You ll also be surprised by the number of temples, variation in landscapes and diversity of people living in harmony. Panauti, a old newari villages in Kavre District. Panauti used to be small state in the past.It is said it was given as dowry by Bhupatindra Mall to his sister. Visit Durbar square & Indreshwor Temple from 14th century. It is situated on the huge rock, it is believed that it would not have earth quake effect. Indreshwor is tallest pagoda styled temple in Nepal. The city is situated on the confluence of Punyabati, Rosi & Lilabati river. In every 12 years there is big holly gathering of the people to take holy dip in the confluence, Triveni (confluence 3 rivers ).
