Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls. In Nepal, it is a challenging sport for outdoor lovers.

There are some terrific, dizzying places for those who get their kicks from crawling up vertical cliffs. If you are not making it to some of the kingdom high peaks, here another opportunity to get high. Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climberâstrength, endurance, agility, and balance along with mind control.

Most of the areas for Rock climbing are situated towards the north of Kathmandu several places and nearby Pokhara & in Everest region, Nagarjun Balaju, Hattiban, Khumbu Rock climbing, Bimal Nagar, Nagarkot& Shivpuri. Easy rock climbing day trips from Kathmandu. A favorite spot for one day guided trips and lessons are Nagarjun Forest just outside of Kathmandu. We take you to the beautiful Nagarjun Forest, Hattiban or shiva puri for a full day of climbing. It is also the training grounds for Nepali Army Special Forces (where they learn to climb and repel). Our instructors are top notch for beginners and novice climbers. We will teach you all you need to know to get started with rock climbing.

Nagarjuna; It is outside of Kathmandu in the Nagarjun Forest, this is a great place to climb. The climbing site has a wide range of routes and is the best place for beginners, intermediate and professional climbers. There are 20 routes of varying difficulty, chimney climbs, overhangs, and bouldering. If you want a cliffhanger experience in Nepal, the Kathmandu valley perimeter offers some hair-raising spots. There are some terrific, dizzying places for those who get their kicks from crawling up vertical cliffs. Nagarjuna highest pitch is about 20 meters. This area is controlled by the army, and you must take a Nepali guide with you. Grades 4a to 7a.
