For nature and peace lovers, Annapurna Sanctuary trek is truly the best trekking trail in the world. You will be traveling through the heart of Annapurna Sanctuary, passing through the quiet bamboo forests and thickets to open up the great amphitheater of the sanctuary for recreational use. Also known as Annapurna Base camp, the route passes through multi-ethnic villages with rich culture, harmony, and humility that are perfect for practicing high altitude yoga in such a peaceful environment.

Annapurna Sanctuary trek offers magnificent views of Himalayan range which includes Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Machhapuchhre and many more. Other than the journey to the world’s 10th tallest mountain, the trekkers are in treat with close up views of other tallest mountains in the Himalayas, the Dhaulagiri Ranges that include mountain peaks like the Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung, Tukuche, Tilicho, Fang and Himchuli all through the trek.

Annapurna Sanctuary trek is relatively moderate in difficulty level thus, it suitable for trekkers of all ages. Different kinds of birds and animals can be seen while trekking including some rare animals like snow leopard, musk deer, etc.  The best season for trekking Annapurna region is from March to May and September to December.

The trek starts from Nayapul, Pokhara and later passes through Birethanti, Ghorepani and reaches a Gurung village called Chhomrong at the altitude of 2660m. The route continues past by Hinko cave and reaches to a pass between Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre peaks.

Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transfer to your respective hotel.

Day 02

Kathmandu - Pokhara

We will take an early morning tourist coach transport from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During the drive, you already have stunning views over the mighty Himalayan massifs as well as green hills and dramatic river valleys. Preparation activities for yoga trek – detailed briefing, last minute shopping and packing.

Day 03

Pokhara - Khade - Australian Camp 1,880m

After morning yoga and breakfast we take a 40min drive to Khade and then trek for 1.5-2 hr. up steep stone stairs to Australian Camp. Today’s walk offers a short and relatively easy day, during the journey which allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.

Day 04

Australian Camp - Landruk 1,600m

After morning yoga we will trek to Landruk leads through the small village of Pothana and then through forests, after which we follow a wide trail with great views all the way to Landruk Village and dramatic landscapes of the nearby hills and valleys.

Day 05

Landruk - Chomrong 2,170m

Early morning yoga and we leave Landruk and cross through terraced fields until New Bridge where we will cross through a long hanging bridge across the river – an experience not to forget. After that, we make a steep climb up to Jhinu where we stop for lunch. After lunch we make a steep stair climb to Chomrong, it can be a tough climb so we take it slow.

Day 06

Chomrong - Bamboo 2,310m

We start the day by descending on stone stair trail down to the level of the river. We cross the river and begin steep at times ascend towards Sinuwa where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we continue through a forest path to Bamboo.

Day 07

Bamboo - Dheurali 3,200m

We walk through a forest path and pass through Doban and then a village of Himalaya where we stop for refreshments. After this, we have more climbing to do to reach our final stop for the day – Deurali. Here we notice the vegetation is changing, getting thin and sparse as we climb to a higher altitude.

Day 08

Deurali - Annapurna Base Camp 4,130m

We take it nice and easy as we leave Deurali behind and start our final ascend towards ABC. The trail is not steep but a gradual rise in height. Here the landscape changes as we cross the tree line and enter high altitude meadow. We pass through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). From here we cross through the beautiful barren landscape with fantastic mountain views and finally, we reach our destination of ABC.

Day 09

Annapurna Base Camp - Bamboo 2,310m

Early morning greets us with a sunrise casting a red hue over the snow-capped mountain peaks. We admire the natural spectacle of sun casting colorful rays upon the snowy mountains and take in the views before we have breakfast and start our descend to Bamboo.

Day 10

Bamboo - Chomrong 2,170m

We continue retracing our steps as we descend through the forest path to Sinuwa, where we take some refreshments and continue all the way down to the river where we cross the bridge and the last leg of today’s trek is a steep stone stairs climb up to Chomrong.

Day 11

Chomrong - Kumrung 2,000m

Today we take a different side trail which leads us to another part of the area, to Kumrung. First we descend on a dirt path leading through some terraced fields all the way down to the level of the river and then make a steep ascent through a forest path to Kot Danda to finally arrive in Little Paradise – a true little paradise among the mountainous scenery where you can relax and enjoy peace, quiet and cozy rural atmosphere for the rest of the day.

Day 12

Kumrung - Shyauli Bazaar 1,220m

Today we have a choice to remain in Little Paradise for a day’s relaxation and yoga or to continue down to Shyauli Bazaar. The trail goes all the way down, passing through Gurung village of Ghandruk with wonderful mountain views. We’ll come down to the level of the river Modi Khola at Shyauli Bazaar, from here we can still see the Fishtail mountain.

Day 13

Shyauli Bazaar - Naya Pull - Pokhara

An easy short trek from Shyauli Bazaar back to Naya Pull and a 1.5 hr drive to Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 14

Drive back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the hotel where you either have leisure time or you may catch the last moments exploring the missed sights. There are opportunities for shopping for gifts to your nearest ones. In the evening, we have a celebration dinner together.

Day 15

Departure Day

As it is the last day, we have to bid goodbye to the guest as a visit in Nepal comes to the end for this time. If you have time enough, you can have sightseeing and purchasing the token of love from Nepal. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, our representatives will take you to the airport.
